Spring colour is a bright purple red

 

This becomes a deep maroon colour into summer, changing to a green-red, brown-red in late summer

 

Autumn colour is crimson

 

Suminagashi matures as a small tree at about 4 meters

REMEMBER that all Japanese Maples prefer a slightly acid well drained soil with a constant moisture content.
