This plant has the cascading form of all dissectums and
should be staked up for a few years to get the necessary height
to appreciate the beauty of that cascading form
Basic leaf colour is deep maroon ... brighter in the new foliage
Not widely known and new to me this year (2007)
These pictures show the different colours of this plant at varying times of the year
REMEMBER that all Japanese Maples prefer a slightly acid well drained soil with a constant moisture content.
