Tips on planting Japanese Maples

Acer palmatum dissectum

'Kiri Nishiki'

Zone 6

(Europe 7)

The nine lobes on the leaf of this dissectum are not as double incised as on most dissectums

Basic colouration is a light bright green

In autumn turning gold tinged with orange and even crimson

Quite a rare plant in cultivation

These pictures show the different colours of this plant at varying times of the year

REMEMBER that all Japanese Maples prefer a slightly acid well drained soil with a constant moisture content.
