The foliage of this plant has most unusual colour combinations

The principal early colour is a brick red, changing to shades of green during summer

The veins are a different tone, the main ones being dark, and are prominent

REMEMBER that all Japanese Maples prefer a slightly acid well drained soil with a constant moisture content.
