Plant at 3 years
Japanese Maples
from seed
A new hobby?
Japanese maples rarely come true from seed
Nevertheless many special new plants can develop using this method
These examples were from my first attempt and have proved to be a great success
A lot cheaper than buying cultivars and your visitors won't know the difference
These pictures show the different colours of these plants at varying times of the year
REMEMBER that all Japanese Maples prefer a slightly acid well drained soil with a constant moisture content.
