Tips on growing Japanese Maples from seed

Tips on planting Japanese Maples

Acer palmatum

'Burgundy Lace'

Zone 6

(Europe 7)

An American cultivar of the 'ribbon leaf' group of Japanese Maples, with a colouration comparable to Burgundy wine

As the season progresses it becomes bronzy or greenish

Can grow to 4 metres, with a 5 metre canopy, but can be pruned to fit into smaller landscapes

These pictures show the different colours of this plant at varying times of the year

REMEMBER that all Japanese Maples prefer a slightly acid well drained soil with a constant moisture content.
